DGUV V3 exam

The DGUV V3 examination is required by the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV). This involves checking the safety of portable devices, such as electrical installations. However, this provision is only mandatory for traders.

What happens if you do not have a DGUV V3 exam carried out?

1. Increased risk of accidents

Without regular testing of electrical devices and systems, the risk of electrical accidents such as electric shocks, short circuits or fires increases. This can result in personal injury and extensive property damage.

2. Liability risks

If an accident occurs due to a defective device or a faulty electrical system and no DGUV V3 test has been carried out, the employer or operator may be held liable for the damage. The company is responsible for occupational safety.

3. Fines and legal consequences

The DGUV V3 exam is required by law. If authorities or professional associations discover that the audit has not been carried out, fines may be imposed. In addition, investigations can be initiated in the event of accidents at work, which can lead to further legal consequences.
